Call today's pictures "a view from TV mountain" - while most of Kabul sits in a valley, one large hill is perched in the middle of the city. On days when traffic is too backed-up along the main road between my home and office, Hossein goes up and over the hill instead. Under the many antennas and communications towers that give TV Mountain its name, life goes on normally, if a bit more vertically. (and yes, that's a cemetery in the foreground of the lower photo).
